Path Setup
The Path Setup screen is used to create destination paths.
Upon page load, the Summary table appears with a listing of all current paths in the system, with columnar data providing the Facility, Name (i.e., path name), Path Type, IP (i.e., IP address), Status and the ability to edit and test the path connection.
Columnar Definitions
#: Refers to the row number of the table.
Facility: This is the name of your internal agency that the job belongs to. For instance, if Company A has three subsidiaries, the name of the subsidiary that a job originated from, or is being communicated to, is the name you want to choose.
Name (i.e., Path Name): Name given to identify a path.
Path: Refers to the location of the path (url).
Path Type: Refers to whether a path is: SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol), FTP (File Transfer Protocol), or (Folder) Net-Share folder.
IP (i.e., IP Address): Refers to the IP (Internal Protocol) address of the remote system connecting to your computer.
Status: On this screen, "Status" is either one of two options: Active or Inactive.
- Active: Means, can be used in the system, and
- Inactive: Means, cannot be used in the system.
Actions:
- Edit: Click on the edit icon, located in the Actions column, of the table row, for the path you would like to edit.
- Test Run: Click on the test-run icon, located in the Actions column, of the table row, for the path you would like to test run.
Create Path
- To create a new path, click on the document icon, with the plus symbol, located in the upper right corner of the screen. The Path Setup Create screen appears.
- Fill out the fields with the information pertinent to your path. The Path and IP field are required.
- When done, click on the Create button to save your new path.
Other Button Functionality for the Create Screen
Button [Test]: Clicking on the Test button will initiate a test run to ensure your new path is a valid one. This should only take a few seconds, and a message will appear at the top of this screen to let you know if the path is a valid or invalid one.
Button [Exit]: Click on the Exit button to return to the Path Setup's main screen.
Field Definitions for the Create Screen
Facility: Refers to the name of your internal agency that the job belongs to. For instance, if Company A has three subsidiaries, the name of the subsidiary that a job originated from, or is being communicated to, is the name you want to choose. Click within this field for a drop down of options for the facility.
Name (i.e., Path Name): Give your file a name.
Description: Give your path a description so a non-creating user will easily be able to recognize what the path is for.
Path: Refers to the location of the path (url).
IP: Refers to the IP (Internal Protocol) address of the remote system connecting to your computer.
Path Type: Refers to whether a path is: SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol), FTP (File Transfer Protocol), or (Folder) Net-Share folder.

Edit a Path
As mentioned in the columnar definitions above, clicking on the edit icon, located in the Actions column, of the table row you wish to edit, opens up the Path Setup Update screen. Make your edits as needed, and when finished, Click on the Update button to save your changes. Other functionality of this screen includes:
